Mentoring
Being mentored is one of the most valuable and effective development opportunities you can offer employees. Harvard Business Review research states that 84% of people in formal mentoring programs said mentors had helped them avoid costly mistakes and become proficient in their roles faster. Also 89% of those formally mentored, go on to mentor themselves contributing to a culture of learning and mentoring. Having the support, guidance and expertise of an experienced mentor can provide the mentee with a wide range of professional and personal benefits, which ultimately lead to improved performance. |

Why have an Inspire mentor
Perspective and Experience - We can give you the benefit of our perspective and experience. We’ve been there and done a lot of it…we’ve got lots of methods and strategies to share with the bruises to show for it. Sure, you could Google it, but Google won’t know if you’re asking the right question or not!
Think Outside the Box - A mentor can help you look at situations in new ways. We’ve got some great frameworks to help drive the right level of thinking and we’re also a creative bunch, with access to a great network of people who’ve tried all sorts of stuff. Also, we’ll ask the hard questions and help you solve the right problems.
Define and Reach Long-Term Goals - We can help you define your career path and help you define what matters most, make sure you don’t lose focus and continue down that road, even when you become distracted by day-to-day pressures.
Trusted Colleagues - A mentor can be a great sounding board for all issues – whether you are having difficulty with your immediate manager, the politics and conflicting agendas are getting tough or you just need advice on how to tackle a new project.
Increased Confidence - We all need someone who can encourage us, make that final push, the inspiration to do that thing we might otherwise not. Sometimes it’s just about practicing aloud in the right environment to get you prepared.
Work Better - We’ll help you work more efficiently with a clearer view of the future you are trying to achieve. You’ll feel more confident in the plan and in turn your job, which leads to better performance and more success along the road.
Mentoring is about supporting and encouraging people, to manage their own learning, develop their skills and make sure they may maximise their potential. We want to help improve their performance, and if we’ve done it right hopefully the people around them too.
